Are you dreading getting your sewer or drain lines repaired in British Columbia? Are you also dealing with clogs, leaks, backups, and unpleasant odors coming from your drains? Don’t put up with one just so you don’t have to deal with the other. One call to our expert team of licensed plumbers will see that your pipes are repaired in no time—and without the hassle, you initially thought! What exactly goes on in our Kamloops pipeline service?
Sewer Line Inspection and Diagnosis
This is, perhaps, the most important part of any plumbing service. Inspection allows us to see exactly what’s going on inside your pipes and then choose the best route forward. Kamloops pipe relining is just one of the many plumbing solutions we offer for damaged pipes, and it may not be right for your unique situation. We’ll need to look inside your drain and sewer line to find out what’s causing the problem, what kind of damage has occurred, and what the condition of your pipes is.
To diagnose the problem and the condition of your pipes, we’ll use special video camera equipment to record every inch of your drain and sewer line. When we play the footage of your sewer line video inspection back, we can accurately predict how far along your pipe the crack or hole is, as well as the condition of your drain or sewer line. If your pipes are severely cracked, we’ll opt for a more complex method of sewer repair. If they have a few small cracks, holes, or corrosion, we’ll choose pipe relining in Kamloops.
HydroScrub® Jetting
Before we line your pipes, we need to clean them. If you saw what was inside your sewer line stuck to the walls, you’d understand why. The epoxy-soaked lining needs to properly cure the inside of your pipe, and for that, we need to remove all of the built-up scum, food, and debris from the inside. HydroScrub® Jetting technology involves using a very powerful stream of water to essentially power wash the inside of your pipes. No matter what kind of build-up is in there, this blast of water will force it along your sewer line and “scrub” every last inch.
Pipe Lining
Now that we have the perfect canvas for our epoxy-soaked lining, we can get to work. We’ll insert a flexible liner inside of your existing pipe, inflate a tube to press it against the walls of the pipe, and then use heat to cure it. This process is also called CIPP lining, which stands for “cured in place pipe lining.” When the lining is cured, we’ll remove the inflatable tube, and you will be free to use your plumbing system again.
One of the best parts of CIPP lining in Kamloops is that it can be completed in under a day. Another benefit? Unlike traditional sewer line repair, we’ll never have to dig a trench in your backyard. The entire process can be completed through one small access hole. This causes very little disturbance to your home and routine.
